Our accomodation
Olive House is situated in the small village of Newton Flotman in Norfolk. All of the bedrooms at Olive House include en-suite facilities, and the home incorporates a welcoming reception area, a dining room and many lounge areas. Attractive gardens surround the home, which our residents and their guests regularly enjoy.
There is a dedicated team of staff running the home – many of which are long-standing and know the residents and their families very well. There is also a good group of volunteers who work closely with the community, to create strong ties between Olive House and the local village.

Daily activities and entertainment are a core part of our quality care at Olive House. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse, enriching range of weekly activities and entertainment allowing residents to continue to relish in their favourite hobbies and pastimes or to try out something new entirely.
We involve residents in the planning of our weekly activities timetables and offer one-to-one bespoke and tailored opportunities as requested. We’re also passionate about keeping our homes and residents at the heart of the local community, working closely with community groups, schools and other community connections to keep residents involved in local activities.
Dining is an essential part of the care package we provide to our residents, not only from a general health and wellbeing perspective, but we believe residents should be able to enjoy eating what they want, when they want.
We hold a monthly residents meeting to talk about the future menu where residents have lots of input. We have food samples of the world once a month and we create a map of the world to show where residents have visited. Every other week there is a cheese and wine evening.
